This expansion is set in The Cut, a region on the border of Banuk territory, and involves Aloy journeying to the peak of a mysterious mountain. The Frozen Wilds will include new machines, quests, weapons, settlements, trophies, abilities, activities, and characters not seen in the base game, and serves as a new chapter in Aloy’s adventure.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game played from a third-person view. Players take control of Aloy, a hunter and archer, as she progresses through a post-apocalyptic land ruled by robotic creatures known simply as “Machines”. Machine components, such as electricity and the metal they are composed of, are vital to Aloy’s survival, and she can loot their corpses to find useful resources for crafting. Aloy uses a variety of ways to kill enemies, such as setting traps like tripwires using the Ropecaster, shooting enemies with arrows, using explosives, and melee combat. Weaponry and traps may be purchased from traders. Further, she is essentially able to hack a selection of creatures with the Override Tool, turning them into makeshift vehicles or travelling companions. Aloy can also hide in foliage and ambush nearby enemies to ensure immediate takedowns. A “focus scan” allows Aloy to determine her enemies’ susceptibilities, identify their location, the particular level they possess and the nature of loot they will drop. There are three categories in the skill tree—”Prowler” concerns stealth; “Brave” improves combat; and “Forager” increases healing and gathering capabilities.

Pandero’s days are numbered.
This thing is *monstrous*.
It has 3x the base magazine of Pandero, bypassing Pandero’s altfire magazine size problem and saving a modslot. You can actually aim while using Athodai’s primary auto-fire, and it doesn’t automatically dump the entire mag like Pandero does. You don’t even need to run Anemic Agility like I did. Arcane Velocity + Wisp’s haste mote puts you at around 15 rounds/s, similar to Pandero’s altfire. It has less recoil and it’s also over half heat, letting you make radiation easily with Shock Trooper (only a small portion of Rattlegut’s innate damage is radiation).
Rivenless build and still breaking limbs under 0.5s? Sign me up please. If this thing keeps it’s 1.0 dispo, my Pandero will soon be shelved.
Athodai is a new secondary released with TennoCon 2020. If you watched the TennoCon stream from 12:30 PM EST to 5:00 PM EST that day, you would have received Athodai in your inbox. You may have received a second copy afterwards, as DE decided to award one to anyone who logged into Warframe that day. This was due to the twitch stream view detection bugging out and not rewarding certain players.
If you did not receive one, don’t fret! DE has confirmed Athodai will return in a future update.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Builds are shown at the end.
*About this series*: The aim is to create unconventional DPS runs using either weapons or frames while not relying on teammate buffs beyond what is found in a standard hunt. Thus, I try to avoid shooting through other Volt shields when it is unnatural for positioning and do not ask for them. Other similar elements, such as Rhino substituting Trin role for Roar, are forbidden.
A useful warframe clock overlay hunters use to keep track of time left in/until night. This is featured in the bottom left corner of all my runs. It also tracks other useful info like arbi and kuva node rotations.
